Miss Christina began her training at the Performing Arts School at the age of eleven, on a full scholarship. At this prestigious school, Christina took daily classes in Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre, Spanish & Character Dance. Other aspects of the performing arts were also studied, acting, voice, dance history, & Labanotation. Partnering, piano and music history, as well as set design, stage makeup, costuming and choreography were also studied. After attending the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, she went on to dance professionally with the Pennsylvania Ballet Company, Wildflowers ll and the Delaware Opera Society. Performing Ballets and Opera's such as Romeo and Juliet, Cinderella, The Nutcracker, Rumpelstiltskin, Die Fleidermouse, Carmen and many others. Her summers were spent attending various dance programs and taking master classes with such renowned teachers as Benjamin Harkarvy, Melissa Hayden, David Howard, Alvin Ailey, Andrew Pap & Lupe Sorano. She danced for Rudolph Nureyev when he was presented with an Honorary Doctorate from the University of the Arts. She has been teaching and choreographing for over 35 years, including the Well School, Northern Lights Dance Theatre & The New Hampshire Dance Institute. She is proud of the many students that have trained under her, many of which have gone on to pursue dance in higher education and to dance professionally!
Miss Riley began her dance training at the Monadnock Academy of Movement Arts when she was only 3 years old. Starting with the Creative Movement classes and going on to the highest levels of Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop & more. She spent many of her summers attending various dance programs and taking Master Classes. She went on to pursue dance at Keene State College, earning a Bachelors degree in Theatre and Dance. She is currently the director of her own Modern Dance Company, Weather Makers Dance. Touring New England with unique and splendid choreography! She has performed for Southern Vermont Dance Festival over many summers, and participated in the world renowned American Dance Festival at Duke University on scholarship. She is excited to be teaching the children of MAMA the joys of dance and choreography.
Miss Linda Estabrook graduated Magna Cum Laude from SUNY Purchase Arts Conservatory earning her BFA in dance and a minor in psychology. She was an apprentice at the Granite State Ballet of Nashua, NH, performed with the Debra Weiss Dance Theatre and danced in the show "Rock Stars NYC" in New York City under the direction of Skip Costa. She has traveled many ports of the world performing with Carnival Cruise Lines in their Vegas style production shows working with choreographers such as Minnie Madden, Mistinguett and One direction's choreographer Paul Roberts. Linda is a teaching artist for the New Hampshire Dance Institute, is Co-Artistic Director of Full Motion Dance Theatre and teaches Ballet, Musical Theatre, Cabaret and Jazz here at the Monadnock Academy of Movement Arts.
Taylor Remy grew up in Bellingham, MA attending dance classes since the age of two. She has a diverse background in Modern, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Lyrical, Ballet, Pointe and Gymnastics. She joined the Senior Dance Company at the early age of 11 and earned a full scholarship to the Dance Revolution Company intensive in South Carolina. She graduated from Franklin Pierce College with a Bachelors Degree in Creative Dance Therapy and a Minor in Psychology. She has studied abroad in Lyon, France taking daily classes and immersing herself in modern dance and attending multiple performances every week.
Taylor was a member of Accendo Dance company throughout college, performing in Italy, Florida, Washington DC and all around New England. Taylor has found enjoyment in co-coordinating Full Motion Dance Theatre and is continuing her studies towards dance therapy. She is now in her third year of teaching at MAMA and is excited to bring her special and unique talents to the students.
Miss Corey has been dancing since the age of 5 and spent a majority of her childhood dancing with Paula Meolas Dance and Performing Arts, Inc. Out os Sterling, MA. Competing since the age of 8, attending various competitions across the East Coast as well as Nationally, gave her a sense of performance and an appreciation for the Art of Dance. Corey furthered her education by attending the dance program at Dean College in Franklin, MA. Having opportunities to train under instructors such as Jill Silverman, Jean Wendell, Kelly Peters and Joan Pallodino, among others. She matured as a dancer and choreographer at Dean, where she co-created the first Hip-Hop crew, and also choreographed many routines for student showcases. After Dean she moved on to teach at studios throughout the North East and has been educating for ten years. Corey attends conventions and Summit Teacher functions to stay fresh and inspired with choreography and continued learning, which never stops! Training with well known artists such as Mia Michaels, Raphsody James, Thelma Goldberg, Marty Kudelka, Rhee Gold and Mandy Moore, she has experience with all genres of dances, however, specializes in Tap & Hip-Hop. Her style focuses on syncopation of rhythms in Tap, with a more hoofing style. She enjoys instructing all ages of dancers and it is impossible for her to choose her favorite discipline, she loves it all! She truly loves what she does and is thankful to be able to live out her passion teaching the students of MAMA!
Shawn began his training as a young boy at the Monadnock Academy of Movement Arts taking classes in Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, Musical Theatre, Ballroom & More. He went on to pursue a Bachelors degree in Theatre & Dance from Keene State College and toured for 7 years with the world renowned dance company Pilobolus. He is currently working under the direction of Sidi Larbi Cherkoui's Eastman Dance Company out of Antwerp, Belgium as a dancer and assistant choreographer. He loves to come home to Peterborough, NH to teach dance to the students of MAMA!
